Denim
My most significant denim purchase was a good 10 years ago, living in Japan and working for ‘A Evisya Tailor’ in Daikanyama. I bought these No. 1 ‘Pink Mimi’ jeans as my daily wearer, and all the time I worked I wore them. Marriage and an ever expanding waistline meant that I couldn’t keep them, but nor could I easily give them up. They sat in a folded stack of similarly small, but amazing denim that I couldn’t wear.
Now they belong to my little brother, and I hope he is wearing them often. They have huge amounts of history and memory in every rip and repair.
Worn.
That’s how it’s done
