At second fit -
This was the first jacket to be fitted. It will have a half lined body with unlined sleeves.
This is the surprise first fitting - a Dormeuil Tonik 2000. This is a fully lined 3 piece, and while I have had no fittings as yet, it feels great. I am a particularly difficult fit - a shade under 6 feet tall, a shade under 100kgs in weight and a very prominent seat and forward shoulder. I’m loving this so far, but would welcome any comments.
The waistcoat for the Tonik 3 piece. again, I love the fit - very clean but without feel constricting at all, high to the forward armhole but scalloped away at the rear. The back is currently cotton, which Liverano often uses for the inside back of the waistcoat.
These are my first bespoke garments from Liverano & Liverano, a maker I have always appreciated and now have the pleasure of working with. While it doesnt have the British formality of my W.W.Chan garments or the softness of the Orazio Luciano pieces, it feels like a nice midway point. If I can now have suits made by Steed and Panico I will have gotten all three of my “Grails” to use watch collector speak!
That was a little over a month ago, and I will hopefully collect these pieces and order something new next week. Watch this space for the follow up and final fittings.
